Overview
Not a microSD card despite what some bullets say, the SanDisk Cruzer Blade is a slim USB Type A flash drive that plugs straight into a computer or TV. It holds documents, photos and music in a pocket sized stick.
Students and office workers get a simple way to carry files between machines. Transfer speed is slow for large videos, and the listing text mixes in microSD card details that do not apply.
Who it's for
Users who carry presentations, homework or photos between PCs will find it convenient. Video editors and large backups need a faster drive.
Pros and cons
- Very small and light
- Plugs into any USB A port
- Simple plug and play
- Works with TVs and computers
- Slow USB 2.0 speeds
- Bullets wrongly describe microSD
- No cap or encryption
Performance notes
Read and write speeds are limited by the older USB interface, with writes much slower than reads. Small files move quickly, while large files take noticeably longer. The open blade design leaves the connector exposed in a pocket.
