Overview
Strumming chords at home or carrying a guitar to lessons is the job for this Ibanez acoustic, which sets a spruce top over nyatoh back and sides. A slightly shorter scale makes fretting a little easier.
A spruce top on an entry build gives a clear voice for the money spent on learning. The listing mentions no pickup or case, so it is an unplugged guitar on its own.
Who it's for
Suited to students and casual players learning chords at home. Performers who plug in should choose an acoustic electric.
Pros and cons
- Spruce top for clarity
- Slightly short scale eases fretting
- Light to hold
- Two year warranty
- No pickup listed
- No case listed
- Body shape not described
Performance notes
Clarity comes from the spruce top, while nyatoh adds warmth. A shorter scale lowers string tension so chords take less finger pressure. Playability depends on setup and string height.
