Overview
Garden chores, a hospital stay or a night without power are the places this pocket radio earns its spot. It tunes AM, FM and NOAA weather broadcasts, plays through a built-in speaker or earbuds, and clips to a belt.
Strong tuning in a body small enough for a shirt pocket makes it a daily companion as well as an outage radio. It needs batteries and has no listed weather alert, so it will not wake you for warnings.
Who it's for
People who listen on walks, in the yard or at work, and want weather updates during storms, get a pocket set. Households needing automatic warnings overnight need an alert radio.
Pros and cons
- Weather band in a pocket radio
- One touch station presets
- Removable belt clip
- Backlight for night use

Performance notes
Reception depends on the internal antenna and on how close you are to the transmitters, with the listing citing strong selectivity for its size. The small speaker suits speech, while earbuds give fuller sound. Battery life is not listed.
