Overview
Slipping it into a shirt pocket for a hike, a commute or a power cut, this Retekess radio tunes AM, FM and NOAA weather broadcasts with a side thumbwheel. A headphone jack allows quiet listening.
Tiny size and simple AAA power make it easy to keep in a bag or glovebox for weather updates. There is no crank, solar or rechargeable option, and tuning is analog by thumbwheel.
Who it's for
People who want light, simple radio listening on the go and a simple backup for weather news. Families preparing for long outages should add a radio with alternative charging.
Pros and cons
- Fits in a shirt pocket
- NOAA weather band
- Runs on common AAA cells
- Headphone jack for quiet listening
- No crank or solar charging
- Analog thumbwheel tuning
- Earphones not included
Performance notes
Reception relies on the built in antenna, so moving near a window or outdoors improves weak stations. Thumbwheel tuning needs a steady hand to land on narrow weather channels. Battery life depends on volume and how often it runs.
