Overview
Securing restrooms, offices and conference rooms that need an in use signal is the role of this Falcon B-Series deadbolt from Schlage. It takes a small format interchangeable core that can be pulled for quick re-keying.
Facility managers get a deadbolt that shows occupancy and re-keys by swapping a core. The bullets describe lever locksets rather than this deadbolt, so function details beyond the title should be checked.
Who it's for
Commercial buildings, schools and multi family properties that run a master key system will use the interchangeable core. Homeowners do not need commercial features or a core system.
Pros and cons
- Interchangeable core for fast re-keying
- Compatible with other SFIC products
- Fire rated listing
- Fits a wide door thickness range
- Bullets describe lever locksets
- Core and keying details unclear
Performance notes
Re-keying speed comes from the interchangeable core, which removes with a control key instead of disassembling the lock. The occupancy indicator shows status from the outside. Door thickness adjustment covers standard commercial doors.
