Overview
A 41 inch sisal scratching post from MidWest built with a wide floor-mounted base for stability. The thick brown faux fur covering and single-level design target large breeds and multi-cat households that need a post tall enough for a full stretch.
At 19.4 pounds the base carries real weight on its own, which matters more here than any strap-down hardware since the post is free-standing. Assembly tools are included and the manufacturer backs it with a 1-year warranty. Care is hand wash only, so the faux fur is not machine washable.
- 41 inches tall
- 19.4 pound weighted base
- Brown faux fur with sisal wrap
- Assembly tools included, 1-year warranty
Who it's for
Owners of large cats or multiple cats who need a post tall enough to discourage furniture scratching. Less suited to small apartments where a compact corner post would fit better.
Pros and cons
- 41 inch height suits full-body stretching
- Wide base adds stability without wall mounting
- Sisal wrap built for repeated heavy use
- Single level only, no play platform
- Faux fur cover is hand wash only
Performance notes
Height and a wide floor base do most of the work: the post gives a cat room to fully extend before digging into the sisal wrap, and the base weight resists tipping when a large cat leans its full body weight into a scratch.
