Overview
A single sisal wrapped scratching post standing 31.5 inches tall on a floor mounted base, sized for medium breeds and finished in grey with a dangling ball toy attached near the top.
Amazon Basics keeps this to one post and one level rather than a multi perch tower, which keeps the price down but also means it offers scratching only, not a place to climb or perch. The sisal wrap is the wear surface that actually matters here.
- 31.5 inch height
- Sisal rope material
- Dangling ball toy included
- Floor mounted, freestanding base
Who it's for
Kittens and indoor cats that need a dedicated scratching surface to redirect them from furniture. Cats that like to climb or survey a room from height will outgrow a single level post.
Pros and cons
- Full sisal wrap for scratching grip
- Tall enough for a full stretch
- Dangling ball adds play value
- Single level, no perch or climbing space
- Hand wash only care
Performance notes
The sisal rope wrap gives claws something to catch and shred, which is what keeps a cat returning to a post instead of a couch arm. The floor mounted base and single post height of 31.5 inches let a cat stretch fully upright, and the hanging ball adds a play trigger near the top.
