Overview
Climbing the rock wall ladder to a raised clubhouse with a mini porch starts the play on the Backyard Discovery Tanglewood, then kids ride the wave slide down. Below, a playhouse with windows and a covered snack bar with bench seating add pretend play beside two belt swings and a trapeze.
A cedar set mixing climbing, sliding, swinging and pretend play is the reason to buy. It needs a large flat yard, and assembly is a big job even with pre-drilled parts and app guidance.
Who it's for
Families with preschool and grade school children, and frequent playdates, fit this set. Small yards are ruled out by its size, and it is approved for residential use only.
Pros and cons
- Cedar resists decay
- Clubhouse plus lower playhouse
- Snack bar with bench
- Swings and trapeze
- Long assembly job
- Stain color may vary
Performance notes
Cedar's natural decay resistance and the factory stain help it stand up to outdoor weather. Pre-cut, pre-drilled parts and the BILT app guide the build, and separate play zones let several kids play at once.
