Overview
Backyard Discovery styles the Shenandoah as a little mountain home: a cedar playset with a lower playhouse holding a play kitchen, a full front door and a snack bar with an attached picnic table. Above it, a raised clubhouse leads to a long wave slide, beside two belt swings and a trapeze.
Pretend play inside a real playhouse plus climbing and swinging is the reason to buy for bigger families. It is very large and heavy, so plan yard space and a long assembly.
Who it's for
Households with several children and frequent friends over fit here. Families with limited space or no time for a large build should look at a smaller set.
Pros and cons
- Play kitchen and phone
- Attached picnic table
- Long wave slide
- Rock wall and step ladder
- Very wide footprint
- Heavy, lengthy build
- Stain color may vary
Performance notes
Cedar resists decay naturally, and the factory stain adds a finish, though color can vary. A flat step ladder alongside the rock wall gives younger kids an easier way up to the clubhouse.
