Overview
Converting between a lawn trimmer and an in-line edger takes one tool, and Command Feed supplies line at the press of a button. The kit adds an edger wheel, safety guard, flower guard and spare spool caps.
Rubberized wheels, a tilting head and an adjustable spacer guard make it versatile around beds and borders, and two batteries mean one can charge while the other works. The limit is that no runtime figure is stated.
Who it's for
Homeowners who want one tool for trimming and edging and already use the PowerShare battery platform. Large properties need a longer-running tool.
Pros and cons
- Converts to an in-line edger
- Two batteries included
- Command Feed button line advance
- Head tilts for uneven ground
- Runtime in minutes not listed
- Edger mode needs the wheel attached
Performance notes
Rubberized wheels give traction and support for even lines when edging, and the head tilts so the line can reach uneven patches. The spacer guard adjusts to cover plant tops. The listed speed suits light to moderate growth.
