Overview
CRAFTSMAN pairs a V20 battery trimmer with a charger and a 4Ah battery in one kit, so the lawn can be trimmed and edged without a cord. A Turn-To-Edge feature changes the head for edging, and two speeds trade power for runtime.
Everything needed to start is in the box, and the wide swath covers ground quickly. Runtime depends heavily on the speed setting, so thick growth at high speed will not reach the headline figure.
Who it's for
Suburban lawns with fences, beds and walks to trim fit this kit. Landowners with acres of tall brush should look at a heavier gas or higher voltage tool.
Pros and cons
- Battery and charger included
- Wide cutting swath
- Two speed settings
- Runtime figure applies to low speed
- Trimmer weight is not given
- Line and spool details absent
Performance notes
Cutting power and runtime pull against each other, since high speed spins the line faster and drains the pack sooner. The runtime figure was measured on low speed with a specific battery. Thick grass and edging draw more energy than light trimming.
