Stella & Chewy's Freeze-Dried Chicken Dinner Morsels 3.5 oz

Overview

Stella & Chewy's Freeze-Dried Raw Cat Dinner Morsels pack a chicken recipe built from 98 percent cage-free meat and organs into a 3.5 ounce bag, ranked number 2 in Freeze-Dried Cat Food on Amazon. It's a raw diet product rather than traditional kibble, despite sitting in a dry cat food category listing.

Freeze-drying preserves the raw diet profile without refrigeration, which is the main reason owners choose this format over kibble or frozen raw. The recipe is grain-free and gluten-free and is labeled for all life stages, so it can work as a full meal or, given the small 3.5 ounce size, as a food topper. Made in the USA is stated on the label.

• 98% cage-free meat and organs
• Freeze-dried raw morsels, not kibble
• Grain-free chicken recipe
• All life stages

Who it's for

Cat owners interested in a raw or ancestral-style diet without freezer storage, including those feeding kittens through senior cats given the all life stages labeling. Less suited to owners wanting a large-format staple food, since 3.5 ounces is a small bag likely meant for trial or topper use.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

Freeze-drying removes moisture from raw meat and organs while keeping the nutrient profile close to a fresh raw diet, which is what separates this from standard dry kibble despite the shared shelf-stable format. The chicken recipe is grain-free and gluten-free, and Stella & Chewy's markets it toward digestive, skin and coat support.
