Overview
Not a multifunction machine, this Kyocera is a print only monochrome laser built around long life ECOSYS consumables. It joins Gigabit Ethernet or Wi-Fi, takes walk up USB jobs and flips pages with a stackless duplex unit.
Paper capacity and connectivity carry this Kyocera: a standard drawer, a multipurpose tray and room to expand, all on a wired or wireless network. It does nothing but print, so scanning needs another device.
Who it's for
Shared office printing where many users send text documents through the day. Home users who want scanning or color should choose an all in one.
Pros and cons
- Expandable paper capacity
- Gigabit Ethernet plus Wi-Fi Direct
- Quick first page out
- Walk up USB host printing
- Print only, no scan or copy
- LED panel instead of a screen
Performance notes
Throughput depends on the paper drawer and multipurpose tray feeding a fast monochrome engine, and the stackless duplex unit handles Statement to Legal sheets. Short warm up and sleep recovery times decide how quickly the first job of the morning lands.
