Overview
No inner bucket here: the simplehuman slim step can grips the liner directly with a stainless rim that flips down to hide the bag. A steel pedal opens the lid, Lid Shox lowers it slowly and quietly, and the narrow shape slides between cabinets.
The slim profile and bucket-free design fit tight galley kitchens while freeing more room for trash. Standard bags may bunch, so custom liners are the intended pairing.
Who it's for
Small kitchens and tight corners get a full-height can that does not stick out. Those who refuse custom liners may find generic bags less tidy.
Pros and cons
- Fits narrow spaces
- No bucket to lift out
- Quiet slow-close lid
- Odor pod included
- Designed around custom liners
- Rectangular shape limits corner use
Performance notes
A motion-control damper slows the lid on its way down, so it never slams. The liner rim clamps the bag edge, holding it in place without an inner bucket and freeing extra volume.
