Amazon Basics Camping Chair

Overview

A large folding camp chair from Amazon Basics built around a mesh backrest, a built-in cup holder and a side beverage pouch sized for four 12-ounce cans. The steel frame packs down into a shoulder strap carry bag for quick trips to a campsite, tailgate or backyard.

This is a straightforward large-format folding chair rather than a specialty design, and no weight capacity or open dimensions are listed, so buyers comparing load ratings will need to look elsewhere for that number. What sets it apart from a plain folding chair is the built-in beverage pouch sized for canned drinks, on top of the usual cup holder and side pocket.

• Mesh backrest for airflow
• Four-can beverage pouch built in
• Cup holder and side storage pocket
• Steel frame folds into a carry bag

Who it's for

Casual campers, tailgaters and backyard sitters who want one folding chair that also holds a few cold drinks close at hand.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

The mesh back panel is the main comfort feature, letting air move through the backrest instead of trapping heat against solid fabric. Drink storage is split across two spots: a pouch built into the chair that holds four 12-ounce cans, plus a separate cup holder for whatever you are currently drinking. A side pocket adds room for sunscreen or a phone, and the steel frame folds into a carry bag with a shoulder strap.
