Overview
Not a first guitar, the Kadence Acoustica is pitched at players upgrading from one, with a grand auditorium cutaway body, laminated ash top and walnut back and sides. A built-in pickup with onboard EQ handles amplified playing.
Comfort and plug-in readiness make the case, with a body that handles well and a cutaway for lead lines. A matte finish resists fingerprints. Laminated woods favor durability over unplugged richness.
Who it's for
Intermediate players who practice at home and play occasional gigs. Players chasing the richest unplugged sound should look at all-wood tops.
Pros and cons
- Cutaway for higher frets
- Onboard pickup and EQ
- Truss rod for humidity changes
- Reinforced headstock volute
- Fretboard wood listed two ways
- Laminate top limits richness
- Bag listed only in title
Performance notes
Laminated wood resists cracking and humidity swings, which suits changing climates, while giving a tighter unplugged tone. The cutaway trades a little body volume for upper fret access. Onboard EQ shapes bass and treble through an amp.
