Overview
Not a long-life outdoor vinyl, ORACAL's fluorescent cast vinyl is a short-term fluorescent film built for eye-catching signs, ads and craft graphics. A permanent solvent adhesive grips glass, metal, plastic and wood.
Day-glow color draws attention in a way regular vinyl cannot. The fluorescent pigment is short lived outdoors, and the listing gives both six months and one year, so treat it as temporary.
Who it's for
Event signs, sale banners and party decor suit a fluorescent film. Long-term vehicle or storefront graphics need a durable vinyl.
Pros and cons
- Intense fluorescent color
- High gloss finish
- Scratch, scuff and water resistant
- Works with any vinyl cutter
- Short outdoor lifespan
- Listing conflicts on exterior life
- Permanent adhesive, hard to reposition
Performance notes
Fluorescent pigments convert light into brighter visible color, which is why it glows, but UV breaks them down quickly outdoors. The solvent adhesive bonds permanently once burnished with the squeegee. Smooth, clean surfaces give the strongest hold.
