Overview
This Sooez roll is a glossy black, permanent adhesive vinyl sized 12 inches by 11 feet, built for cutting machines and meant for decals, signs, and scrapbooking projects that need to hold up outdoors.
The PET backing rather than a paper liner is the notable spec here: it is meant to resist tearing during weeding and keep the vinyl from separating from its carrier mid-cut, a common frustration with cheaper paper-backed rolls. Sooez states an indoor life of up to 10 years and an outdoor life of up to 8 years, though real-world durability depends on the surface and weather exposure. It is explicitly not heat transfer vinyl and not meant for fabric.
- 12 inch by 11 foot roll
- Glossy black finish
- PET protective film backing
- Rated for up to 8 years outdoor use
Who it's for
Fits anyone running a cutting machine for car decals, signage, tumblers, or scrapbook projects who wants a durable glossy black finish. Not the right product for putting a design on fabric or clothing, since that calls for heat transfer vinyl instead.
Pros and cons
- PET backing resists tearing during weeding
- Rated for outdoor use with UV and water resistance
- Compatible with standard cutting machines
- Not suitable for fabric or heat-press application
- Needs a 24 hour cure before washing
Performance notes
The PET film backing governs how cleanly this cuts and weeds compared to paper-backed vinyl, since it resists puncturing and keeps registration during the cut. Adhesion strength and the stated multi-year lifespan depend on letting the bond cure a full 24 hours before the piece is washed or exposed to water.
