Overview
A refrigerator owner swapping a spent cartridge gets a coconut carbon block in a housing built to twist into the fridge water line. It replaces named LG and Kenmore filter codes and is not a pitcher or faucet filter.
Certification and a clear warranty note make this easy to trust as a drop-in part, and the box includes stickers to mark the change date. The compatibility list is long but cut off in the listing, so verify your own model.
Who it's for
A homeowner who has already read the code off the old filter and finds it among the listed ones gets a straight swap. Anyone guessing at the code, or hoping for a countertop filter, should hold off.
Pros and cons
- Certified to NSF 42/372
- Includes install date stickers
- Return policy on defects
- Coconut carbon block media
- Compatibility list cut off
- Fits named fridge codes only
- Capacity and life not stated
Performance notes
The carbon block traps particles and taste compounds as water is forced through it, so a snug seal in the fridge housing matters more than the media itself. A cartridge that is not fully seated can leak or bypass the block.
