SONGMICS Folding Storage Ottoman Bench 43 Inch

Overview

A 43.3 inch folding storage ottoman bench from Songmics, built with MDF panels and metal corner guards and rated to hold up to 660 pounds. A removable divider splits the roughly 35 gallon interior for sorting blankets, bedding or toys.

This is the bench-length version of Songmics' storage ottoman line, long enough to seat more than one person or sit at the foot of a bed rather than serve as a single footrest. The tufted linen-look top and double-layer foam are built for daily use as seating, not just an occasional stool.

• 43.3 in long folding storage bench
• 660 lb rated static load
• About 35 gallon capacity with removable divider
• Tufted linen-look top with double-layer foam

Who it's for

Households wanting a long bench that doubles as bedding or toy storage at the foot of a bed or in a living room. Buyers sensitive to new-furniture odor should air it out before deciding it is a problem.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

Metal corner guards on the lid and MDF panels underneath let the bench carry its rated 660 pound load and hold up to being sat or stood on, which several buyers confirmed by using it as a step stool. The removable divider is what separates it from a single open bin, letting you keep two categories of items sorted rather than piled together.
