Overview
Verdana's Coconut MCT Oil is a USDA-certified organic, fractionated oil sold in a 1-gallon (128-ounce) size, made without palm kernel oil and certified kosher. It is positioned for keto and paleo diets.
Bulk gallon sizing sets this apart from the small 16 or 32-ounce bottles most MCT oils ship in, which matters for anyone using it daily in coffee or cooking rather than occasionally. The no-palm-kernel sourcing is worth noting specifically because some cheaper MCT oils use palm kernel oil as a source, which this one avoids.
- 128 fluid ounce (1 gallon) bottle
- USDA certified organic, fractionated coconut oil
- Kosher and non-GMO certified
- Suited to keto and paleo diets
Who it's for
Suited to regular MCT users, such as people following keto or paleo who add it to coffee daily, who want to avoid repurchasing small bottles. Not the right size for someone trying MCT oil for the first time in small quantities.
Pros and cons
- 1-gallon size, no small-bottle repurchasing
- No palm kernel oil in sourcing
- USDA organic and kosher certified
- Gallon size is impractical for occasional use
- Unflavored liquid needs mixing into other food
Performance notes
MCT oil is fractionated from coconut oil to isolate the medium-chain triglycerides, which are metabolized differently from long-chain fats and are why the oil is favored on keto and paleo diets. Being unflavored and liquid, it mixes into coffee, shakes or salad dressings without altering taste. A gallon at typical one to two tablespoon servings represents a multi-month supply for daily use.
