Overview
Not a charcoal or gas unit, this Traeger is a wood pellet grill that doubles as a smoker, with an alloy steel outer and a stainless steel inner. The pellets burn for fuel while electric power runs the feed.
Wood pellet fuel with electric control makes it a manage-by-setting cooker, and the combination design covers grilling and smoking. The listing leaves out cooking area, hopper size, temperature range and warranty.
Who it's for
A household that wants wood-fired flavor without managing a fire, with space and power for a heavy unit. Campers and apartment balconies are poor matches.
Pros and cons
- Wood pellet fuel
- Combination grill and smoker
- Alloy steel outer, stainless inner
- Model year listed
- Needs electric power
- Cooking area not listed
Performance notes
Electric power drives the pellet feed, so the controller sets heat by how fast pellets are added rather than by vents. Smoke and flavor come from the burning wood pellets, and a heavy steel body helps hold temperature.
