Overview
A pre-rigged 5-foot leader built from 7x7 braided stainless steel rated to 480lb, terminating in a 16/0 Mustad 39960 circle hook.
This is a rigged leader, not bulk wire, made for fish that can bite through mono or fluorocarbon. The 480lb stainless cable and 16/0 hook size point to shark or big game rigs rather than everyday inshore use.
- 5-foot 7x7 braided stainless leader
- 480lb rated strength
- 16/0 Mustad 39960 circle hook
- Ships as one leader with sticker
Who it's for
Anglers targeting sharks or other toothy, hard-pulling fish who need a wire leader that can survive bite-offs. Overkill for typical inshore or freshwater species.
Pros and cons
- 480lb stainless construction resists bite-offs
- Comes pre-rigged with a 16/0 Mustad circle hook
- 7x7 49-strand build stays flexible
- Sold as a single 5-foot leader, not a multi-pack
Performance notes
The leader uses 7x7 49-strand braided stainless steel rated to 480 pounds, ending in a 16/0 Mustad 39960 high carbon steel inline circle hook. That hook size and breaking strength are sized for fish large and toothy enough to cut through mono or fluorocarbon leaders.
