Overview
Approach shots into firm greens and delicate chips are where the Tour Edge Exotics ball is tuned to perform. A fast, soft ionomer mantle steadies iron flight, and a thin cast urethane cover grips the face for spin and feel near the hole.
Tour style spin and control from a urethane cover give better players a full performance ball. Compression and the exact layer count are not stated, which makes matching it to swing speed harder.
Who it's for
Players who chip and pitch with spin get the cover feel they need. Beginners who mostly need straighter tee shots may not use what the cover offers.
Pros and cons
- Thin cast urethane cover
- Spin and feel near the green
- Mantle steadies approach shots
- Stable flight in wind
- Compression not listed
- Layer count not specified
- Urethane scuffs more than ionomer
Performance notes
Greenside spin comes from the soft urethane cover gripping the clubface grooves. The ionomer mantle adds speed and holds spin down on longer irons for steadier flight. Swing speed will change how much distance the core delivers.
