Overview
A patio with an outlet nearby is where this Traeger pellet grill belongs, a vertical barrel with alloy steel outside and steel inside. Electric power runs the pellet feed while wood pellets supply the fuel.
A wired probe in the box and a stated warranty make it a ready-to-cook package for pellet smoking. The listing gives no cooking area, hopper size or temperature range.
Who it's for
A household that wants wood-fired cooking with set-and-monitor control. Campers, tailgaters and small balconies should consider a smaller unit.
Pros and cons
- Wired meat probe included
- Assembly instructions included
- Wood pellet fuel
- Vertical barrel form
- Needs electric power
- Cooking area not listed
- Heavy to move
Performance notes
Electric power drives the pellet feed, so the controller regulates heat by how fast pellets burn rather than by vents. The wired probe reads internal food temperature, and a vertical barrel gives smoke a tall path around the food.
