Overview
A 150-yard braided fishing line rated at 30 lb test. The item's own special-field text identifies it as an SSV2 (Super Slick V2) Onyx-colored line, despite the general attribute listing calling it Multi colored.
That's worth flagging because color matters for line visibility: the specific product code points to Onyx, a dark near-black shade, not a multicolor line, so buyers should go by the SSV2 Onyx description over the generic Multi tag.
- 30 lb line rating
- 150 yards
- Braided construction
- Onyx colorway per product code
Who it's for
Anglers who want a low-visibility braided line at a moderate 30 lb test for general freshwater or light saltwater use. Not for anyone specifically wanting a high-visibility multicolor line for sight-based bite detection.
Pros and cons
- Braided construction for thin diameter at 30 lb strength
- 150 yards of usable line
- Attribute field and product code disagree on color (Multi vs Onyx)
- Not a multicolor line for visual depth tracking despite the generic listing tag
Performance notes
Braided line of this construction offers thinner diameter and less stretch than monofilament at the same strength rating, improving bite detection and casting distance, while an Onyx colorway keeps the line less visible to fish underwater than a bright multicolor option would be.
