Overview
Not a directional yagi that needs pointing, the Channel Master antenna receives from all directions at once. It bolts to a wall, a mast or an old satellite dish mount with the included bracket, inside an attic or outdoors.
Receiving towers in every direction without rotating anything suits rural homes and RVs that move often. The bracket reuses an old satellite mount, saving a new hole in the roof. Coax and an amplifier are not mentioned, so plan those separately.
Who it's for
Cord cutters in suburbs with towers on different sides, and RVers who park somewhere new each week, avoid re-aiming. Fringe areas with distant towers grouped in one direction get more from a directional model.
Pros and cons
- No aiming needed
- Bracket fits mast, wall or satellite mount
- Indoor, attic or outdoor use
- Works with HD and 4K TVs
- Coax cable not listed as included
- Omnidirectional design spreads gain evenly
- No built-in amplifier mentioned
Performance notes
Reception depends on line of sight to the towers, height and obstacles in the path, since an omnidirectional design spreads its gain around the circle instead of focusing it. Mounting outdoors and high gives the strongest signal. An attic install loses some signal through roofing.
