A compact color laser for an office that prints color documents steadily and wants Wi-Fi, Ethernet and duplex as standard. It only prints, so scanning and copying need a second device.

Overview
Lexmark aims this compact color laser at small offices that print color reports and flyers on plain paper. It connects over Wi-Fi, Ethernet or USB, takes jobs from phones through Mopria and AirPrint, and prints both sides of the page on its own.
Color laser output with wired and wireless options in a narrow body suits a shared office desk. Scanning, copying and faxing are absent, and plain paper is the only listed media.
Who it's for
Teams that share one color printer over the network get duplex output and a security suite. A home office wanting an all-in-one should look at a multifunction model.
Pros and cons
- Color laser output
- Wi-Fi, Ethernet and USB
- Automatic duplex printing
- Single-sheet feeder for odd jobs
- Print only, no scanner
- Plain paper is the only listed media
- Heavy for its footprint
- Toner yields not listed
Performance notes
Color laser printing fuses four toners onto plain paper, so text and charts come out dry and smudge resistant. The dual-core processor and onboard memory handle larger color files before printing. Duty is sized for moderate monthly volumes rather than print room loads.
