Overview
Not a can with a separate inner bucket, the simplehuman step can grips the liner on a steel rim hidden under the lid. A steel pedal opens it, the lid closes slowly without banging, and spare liners dispense from a pocket inside.
Quiet closing, a long life pedal and built in liner storage make daily trash duty smoother in open kitchens. Custom fit liners are part of the design, so generic bags may not sit as neatly.
Who it's for
Made for families cooking at home every day and changing liners often. Buyers set on store brand bags may find the fit less tidy.
Pros and cons
- Silent closing lid
- Long life steel pedal
- Liner storage inside
- No inner bucket to clean
- Designed around Code M liners
Performance notes
Capacity rises because the liner hangs from the rim instead of inside a bucket. Lid Shox dampers slow the lid so it closes without slamming. The silver ion coating resists fingerprints and water spots on the steel.
