Overview
Folding down for transport, this Traeger Tailgater pellet grill burns wood pellets with an electric feed, and it ships with a wired meat probe. The alloy steel outer and steel inner are listed.
A foldable frame makes pellet cooking practical away from home, and the included probe and warranty round out the package. Cooking area, hopper size and the power arrangement for travel are not described.
Who it's for
A tailgater or small-patio cook who wants wood pellet cooking in a compact frame. Large gatherings and off-grid trips are poor matches.
Pros and cons
- Foldable portable frame
- Wired meat probe included
- Wood pellet fuel
- Needs electric power
- Cooking area not listed
- Travel power setup unclear
Performance notes
Electric power drives the pellet feed, while burning wood pellets provides the heat and smoke. A smaller body heats up quickly but offers limited cooking room, and the probe reads internal food temperature.
