Overview
Campers, off roaders and emergency planners get two GMRS handhelds ready to use out of the box. Turn them on, choose a channel, and use the repeater channels for longer reach or the weather scan for alerts.
Owners get pre programmed GMRS and weather channels plus compatibility with the large UV series accessory range. A GMRS license is needed, and advanced settings require a computer.
Who it's for
Licensed families, camping groups and overlanders will use the repeater and weather features. Users wanting license free radios should choose FRS models.
Pros and cons
- Two radios in one pack
- Pre-programmed GMRS channels
- NOAA weather scan
- Works with UV series accessories
- GMRS license required
- Advanced settings need a computer

Performance notes
Range depends on terrain and repeater access, with GMRS power giving more reach than basic license free radios. Weather alerts come from scanning NOAA channels. Battery life depends on use, and extended batteries from the series fit.
