Overview
At 5 pounds, the Fitvids STD-B25 is a single cast iron plate with a 2-inch Olympic-size center hole, built to add small increments of weight to an Olympic barbell.
Category tree and title agree directly here, both pointing to a weight plate. The 2-inch center confirms it's built for Olympic bars rather than standard 1-inch bars, so buyers with a standard bar should look elsewhere.
- 5 lb weight
- Cast iron material
- 2-inch Olympic center hole
- Sold as a single plate
Who it's for
Lifters with an Olympic 2-inch bar who need to add a 5 lb plate to round out their set. Not suited to those with a standard 1-inch bar, since the center hole won't fit.
Pros and cons
- Cast iron construction
- Sized for 2-inch Olympic bars
- Sold individually, so buyers can order exactly the count needed
- Won't fit standard 1-inch bars
- Sold as a single plate, not a set
Performance notes
Cast iron plates take their durability from the solid metal casting, and because this one is sized for a 2-inch Olympic center, it will spin freely on Olympic bars but simply won't slide onto standard 1-inch sleeves.
