Overview
A phone owner short on storage gets a two-ended SanDisk stick: plug the USB-C end into a phone or tablet, then the USB-A end into an older computer. The swivel protects whichever end is not in use, and the app automates backups.
Lots of room plus both plug types make it a practical way to empty a full phone and move video to a laptop. The description and specs disagree on capacity, so check the drive when it arrives.
Who it's for
Video-heavy phone users and anyone moving files between new and old computers get generous space with no adapters. Older phones without USB-C or OTG cannot use the drive directly.
Pros and cons
- Large capacity for video
- Both USB-C and USB-A plugs
- No cap to lose
- Automatic backups with app
- Description lists a different capacity
- OTG support required on phones
- Warranty not listed
Performance notes
Speed depends on the USB port in use, with full speed on current ports. Large videos copy quickly in both directions at the listed rate. The swivel covers the idle connector so dirt stays out.
