Overview
BBCOR hitters who want a hybrid without a connection joint get an alloy barrel fused to a carbon composite handle through AXENIC technology. Removing the joint cuts bonding weight and barrel lag, putting more mass in the barrel.
No joint means fewer failure points and a direct transfer of energy, while the composite handle damps sting. Half sizes help hitters fine tune fit.
Who it's for
High school and college hitters who like composite handle comfort with alloy barrel response. Fans of stiff all-metal bats should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- No connection joint
- Composite handle damps vibration
- More mass in barrel
- Half sizes offered
- Material rows conflict
- Grip size small
- Age range listed oddly
Performance notes
The fused handle and barrel move as one piece, so there is no lag from a joint flexing at contact. Carbon fiber angles in the handle tune balance and absorb vibration, while thinner taper mass shifts weight to the barrel.
