Overview
Not a bulky framed chair, the Crazy Creek HEX is a light, armless seat that arrives already assembled, with a foam padded ripstop nylon body. Adjustable straps set the recline, and the cushion comes included.
Low carry weight and zero assembly make it easy to bring to a game or strap to a pack. The listing gives no seat height, so how far it lifts you off the ground is unclear, and the hard floor surface note points to flat, firm footing.
Who it's for
Day hikers and stadium crowds wanting back support with almost no carry weight are the audience. People who need armrests or a raised seat should choose a framed chair instead.
Pros and cons
- Very light to carry
- Arrives fully assembled
- Adjustable recline with two positions
- Foam fill adds padding
- Seat height not listed
- Surface recommendation lists hard floor only
- No cup holder
Performance notes
Comfort depends on strap tension: the straps set the angle between seat and backrest, and the foam fill spreads pressure from the ground. Ripstop weave stops small tears from spreading, and a flat, firm base gives the steadiest feel.
