Overview
Elite youth travel tournaments under USSSA rules are the setting for this True Temper bat, a seamless one piece hybrid that fuses an alloy barrel to a composite handle. An EFX end cap tunes the sound and energy transfer.
Removing the connection joint is the selling idea: alloy pop up top with composite damping below, without a weak point between. The end loaded feel favors power hitters. Smaller players may find it slow to swing.
Who it's for
Older youth players with the strength to swing extra weight toward the end for distance. Players in USA Baseball leagues need a bat with that stamp instead.
Pros and cons
- No connection joint to fail
- Composite handle cuts mishit sting
- Thin wall alloy barrel
- Tuned end cap
- USSSA stamp only
- End loaded for stronger hitters
- Gloves need registration
Performance notes
Weight placed toward the end raises momentum at contact for hitters who can control it, while slowing swing speed for smaller players. The composite handle damps vibration from off center hits. A thin alloy wall gives pop right out of the wrapper.
