Overview
A student or office worker gets a quick, durable USB-A stick for carrying files between computers, with read speeds far above older generation USB drives. The metal housing protects it on a keyring or in a bag.
Fast reads and a tough metal body make it a reliable everyday transfer drive. USB-A only means USB-C laptops need an adapter that is not included.
Who it's for
Anyone with desktop PCs or older laptops wanting a quick, sturdy stick gets one here. USB-C-only device owners should choose a dual-connector drive.
Pros and cons
- Fast read speeds
- Durable metal housing
- Works with PC and Mac
- Backward compatible with USB 2.0
- USB-A connector only
- Write speed half of read
- Encryption not mentioned
- Short one year warranty
Performance notes
Transfer speed depends on the port, with full speed only on a matching fast USB port. Writing large files runs slower than reading them, since write speed is less than half the read rate.
