Overview
PNY makes the Attache drives with a sliding collar that pushes the plug out for use and pulls it back to protect the contacts, so there is no cap to lose. A key loop clips each one to a key chain.
Five drives for documents, slides and photos suit classrooms and offices that hand out files. The older USB standard is slow for videos or large backups.
Who it's for
Teachers, students and office staff passing around documents will find the count and key loop useful. Video editors and people backing up whole drives need a faster USB drive.
Pros and cons
- Five drives per pack
- No cap to lose
- Key loop for carrying
- Works on PC and Mac
- Slow USB 2.0 speeds
- No speed gain in newer ports
- Plastic slide can loosen
Performance notes
Transfer speed is capped by the older USB interface, so even a newer port runs it at the same rate. Small documents copy quickly, while large videos take noticeably longer.
