Overview
A coach or parent building a backyard hitting cage can use this Fortress net from Net World Sports as the enclosure. It is high density polypropylene in black, sold as the net alone in one of the line's many sizes.
Heavy netting gives a durable enclosure for batting practice, and the line offers many sizes and grades. The listing leaves out the grade and gives no hint of poles, ropes or frame, so the buyer must plan the supporting structure.
Who it's for
Baseball and softball players, coaches and facilities with a frame ready, or a plan for one, who need an enclosure net. Buyers who want a ready-to-assemble cage should look at a kit that lists poles and hardware.
Pros and cons
- Heavy-duty polypropylene netting
- Fully enclosed design
- Suits baseball and softball
- One year warranty
- Net only, no frame
- Net grade not stated
- Installation steps absent
- Very heavy to handle
Performance notes
Netting grade and mesh size set how well it stops balls and how long it lasts outdoors, and the listing names the material but not the grade. The net is only as steady as the frame and anchoring it hangs from.
