Overview
The SAN SD-29 is a small aluminum fishing net weighing about 0.35 kilograms, built with a retractable handle so it packs down for anglers who want a compact net for spin fishing trips.
The retractable handle telescopes shorter for storage in a bag, vest or boat compartment, which is the main appeal over a fixed-length net. The hoop is sized small, so it trades landing capacity for that portability, better matched to smaller fish than trophy-size catches.

Who it's for
Anglers fishing light tackle who want a net that packs away small. Not for anglers regularly landing large fish that need a bigger hoop.
Pros and cons
- Aluminum frame keeps weight low
- Retractable handle collapses for compact storage
- Small hoop size limits it to smaller fish
Performance notes
The aluminum frame keeps overall weight down at 0.35 kilograms and resists rust better than uncoated steel, while the retractable handle shortens the packed length for transport between spots.
