Overview
Not a tablet or a smart display, the Aura Carver is a Wi-Fi photo frame that shows pictures sent from a smartphone. Power comes from a cord, control is by touch, and the wide screen is set in a gravel colored finish.
Phone-to-frame sharing over Wi-Fi is what this frame is built around, so relatives can see new photos without handling memory cards. The listing is thin on everything else: no app name, storage figure or included items are given, so ask the seller if those matter.
Who it's for
Grandparents and relatives who mostly see family photos on a small phone screen get a larger display for the living room or kitchen. Someone who needs a cordless frame or a detailed feature list should look at other models.
Pros and cons
- Sharp HD screen for photos
- Photos arrive over Wi-Fi from a phone
- Simple touch control
- Wide screen suits landscape shots
- Must stay plugged in to run
- Box contents not listed
- Compact screen for viewing across a large room
Performance notes
Image clarity depends on the HD panel and on the resolution of the photos sent from the phone. Delivery of new pictures depends on the home Wi-Fi network, since photos reach the frame over the wireless link.
