A lovely gift frame for grandparents that family members can fill with photos from anywhere. It needs Wi-Fi and wall power, so it will not work as a cordless or offline frame.

Overview
Aura made the Carver for families to share photos with relatives, who just plug it in and watch new pictures arrive. Photos come from the Aura app, email, text, iCloud or Google Photos, and the screen adjusts to room lighting.
Remote sharing with no subscription means relatives can add photos for years without fees. It relies on Wi-Fi and a power cord, so placement needs an outlet and a network.
Who it's for
Parents, grandparents and far-flung families who want a shared stream of photos get easy setup and free storage. People without home Wi-Fi need a frame that loads from a memory card.
Pros and cons
- No subscription for storage
- Easy setup for any age
- Many ways to add photos
- Plays short videos with sound
- Corded power only
- Modest screen resolution
Performance notes
Picture quality depends on the calibrated display and its automatic brightness, which follows room light. Portrait pairing places two vertical photos side by side, so tall shots fill the wide screen instead of leaving bars.
