Overview
A laser rangefinder with 7x magnification and a 24mm objective lens, rated to range out to 2,000 yards on reflective targets and about 1,400 yards on game, with a red OLED display and two ranging modes.
The HD designation refers to Vortex's optical glass and XR lens coatings, which the company positions as improving clarity and light transmission over its non-HD models. It offers two target modes (normal and last) and two ranging modes (angle-compensated HCD and straight-line LOS), and is tripod adaptable for steadier long-distance use.
- 2,000 yard max range, about 1,400 yards on game
- 7x magnification, 24mm objective lens
- Red OLED display with HCD and LOS ranging modes
- Waterproof, shockproof, tripod adaptable
Who it's for
Fits hunters ranging game and target shooters confirming distance at the range, especially in open country like the Midwest or Great Plains where longer ranging distances matter. Casual users who only need short, close-range readings may not need the full 2,000 yard capability.
Pros and cons
