Overview
Easton brings its Alpha alloy design to youth USSSA play with a one piece alloy bat and a ringless FlyWall barrel for a larger sweet spot. The Power Boost Soft Knob and Flow-Tack grip add leverage and comfort.
Youth hitters get a forgiving, responsive alloy barrel in a lighter drop that helps bat speed. The listing gives barrel width and bat weight in conflicting ways, so confirm the spec on the bat.
Who it's for
Young hitters in USSSA leagues who want an alloy bat with a big sweet spot will feel the difference. Leagues using other certifications will not allow it.
Pros and cons
- Ringless barrel for a bigger sweet spot
- Soft knob dampens vibration
- Tacky, cushioned grip
- One piece alloy feel
- Barrel width listed two ways
- Listed weight looks wrong
- One piece alloy can sting
Performance notes
Contact feel comes from the one piece alloy frame, which transfers energy directly and passes some vibration back to the hands. The soft knob absorbs part of that and changes leverage at the bottom hand. A lighter drop makes the bat easier to swing fast.
