Overview
Agri-Fab builds this walk-behind broadcast spreader around a large hopper and a flow control lever that sets how much material goes down. The title lists seed, fertilizer, salt and ice melt as materials it can spread.
One spreader that handles lawn seed and fertilizer in summer and salt or ice melt in winter is what a broadcast design offers, and a large hopper means fewer refills on a big lawn. The listing says nothing about the hopper material, tires or spread width, and care after spreading salt is left to the buyer.
Who it's for
Homeowners with a sizable lawn and a driveway to treat in winter will use the large hopper and the flow lever. Small patches, or buyers wanting a hand-held unit, should choose a smaller spreader.
Pros and cons
- Spreads seed, fertilizer, salt and ice melt
- Flow control lever
- Walk-behind push design
- Light for its size
- Spread width and rate settings not listed
- Hopper material not described
- Cleaning after salt is not covered
Performance notes
A broadcast spreader throws material outward as you push, and the flow lever sets how much leaves the hopper. Hopper size sets how much lawn you cover per fill, and walking pace affects spread evenness. Spread width is not given.
