Overview
The Yes4All XY59 is a single 20 pound cast iron weight plate, sold as one piece for lifters building up a barbell or plate loaded machine.
Cast iron is the traditional plate material, denser and harder than rubber coated plates but louder and more likely to mark flooring if dropped. This listing is for one 20 pound plate rather than a pair or set, so multiple units are needed to load a bar evenly. No sleeve diameter is given, so confirm it matches a standard or Olympic bar before buying.
- 20 lb per plate
- Cast iron construction
- Sold as 1 piece
- Yes4All XY59 line
Who it's for
Suits lifters who already own plates and need to add a specific increment, or anyone assembling a set piece by piece. Less convenient for someone who wants a complete matched set in a single order.
Pros and cons
- Solid cast iron construction
- Useful for topping up specific weight increments
- Sold as a single plate, not a pair
- No sleeve diameter listed to confirm bar fit
- Not rubber coated, so dropping it can mark floors
Performance notes
Cast iron holds its shape and weight rating over years of use, with no rubber to degrade, though it will mark floors and equipment if dropped. At 20 pounds per plate, four are needed to add 40 pounds per side of a barbell.
