Overview
Phones, tablets and modern laptops with USB-C ports are where this SanDisk Ultra Luxe plugs straight in. A metal body clips to keys through its keyring hole, and the connector retracts to avoid wear when you carry it.
Fast reads and a retracting metal design suit people who move files between USB-C devices daily. Computers with only USB-A ports need an adapter.
Who it's for
Students and commuters get a durable keychain drive with quick transfers. Users of older USB-A only machines should consider a dual-connector drive.
Pros and cons
- Fast read speed
- Long limited warranty
- Type-C only in bullets
- Write speed not stated in bullets
- Connector types listed inconsistently
Performance notes
Read speed depends on the host's USB port and the drive capacity, as SanDisk notes. The retractable connector shields the plug from bending and dust in a pocket. A small metal body spreads warmth during long copies.
