Overview
The North Face Jester is a 28 liter daypack (model NF0A3VXF) built around a padded 16 inch laptop sleeve, a large main compartment, dual water bottle pockets and the brand's FlexVent suspension system, weighing about 1 lb 10 oz.
This is The North Face's long-running commuter pack rather than a new design, and the American Chiropractic Association endorsement on the strap system is a checkable claim rather than marketing filler.
- 28 liter capacity, about 1 lb 10 oz
- Padded 16 inch laptop and tablet sleeves
- FlexVent suspension, ACA-endorsed
- Two water bottle side pockets
Who it's for
Fits students and commuters who want one big compartment for a laptop, binders or travel gear, with side pockets for a water bottle. Less suited to anyone who wants several evenly sized organizer pockets, since the layout favors one main space over multiple smaller ones.
Pros and cons
- Front pocket is noticeably smaller than the main one
- One reviewer found zipper quality inconsistent
- Shoulder straps run snug for some body types
Performance notes
The recycled polyester shell carries a DWR water-repellent finish, which sheds light rain and spills rather than surviving a full soak.
