Overview
Not a beginner's distance ball, the yellow Chrome Tour X is a multi-layer urethane tour model for strong players. Its core pushes ball speed off the driver, and the dimple design holds a penetrating, shapeable flight.
Workability is the case for it: better players can shape irons and stop wedges with its spin. The yellow color adds visibility. Compression and spin figures are not given.
Who it's for
Skilled golfers who work the ball both ways and rely on wedge spin get the most from it. Higher handicaps will not use its workability.
Pros and cons
- Core built for driver speed
- Penetrating, workable flight
- Urethane cover for wedge spin
- Yellow for visibility
- Compression not listed
- Aimed at highly skilled players
- Older model year
Performance notes
The core's speed governs distance off the driver, and the aerodynamic package holds a penetrating flight. A urethane cover grips wedge grooves for spin, which lets skilled players control trajectory and stopping. Slower swings will not compress it fully.
