Overview
Music fans with a shelf of old CDs get a compact retro player with its own speakers, a rechargeable battery and an FM radio. Discs play with anti-skip protection, and Bluetooth, AUX and USB add other ways to listen.
Simplicity is the reason to buy: one box plays CDs and FM radio through built-in speakers, with a remote for across the room. The listing gives no speaker power or battery runtime figure, and it does not say whether Bluetooth sends audio out or receives it from a phone.
Who it's for
Dorm rooms, kitchens and bedside tables where someone wants CDs and radio without a full stereo are the setting. Joggers and listeners chasing loud, detailed sound should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Plays CDs through built-in speakers
- FM radio built in
- Remote control included
- Rechargeable for cord-free listening
- Battery runtime not listed
- Too large for a pocket
- Plastic and rubber body
- Only a one year warranty
Performance notes
Playback steadiness comes from anti-skip protection, which smooths over small bumps on a desk or shelf. Volume and bass are set by the small built-in speakers, so headphones or an AUX link to a larger speaker give fuller sound. Unplugged listening time depends on the lithium ion battery, whose runtime is not given.
